In 2026, the allowed share of foreign workers in certain sectors was reduced for employers. In construction, the limit became 50% of the total number of employees. Previously, it was up to 80%.
This means that some companies may reduce the number of foreign workers or transfer them to other positions.
The changes also affect transportation and logistics: in certain types of transport and warehouse activities, regions may introduce their own restrictions. Therefore, it is important to consider not only your field of work but also the region where you are employed.
If you are affected by staff reductions, do not agree to work “informally” or without a contract. It is better to look for legal options in advance:
1. Warehouse and Packaging
You can consider vacancies such as picker, packer, loader, or warehouse worker.
2. Manufacturing
There is often demand for production line workers, packers, machine operators, and general laborers.
3. Utilities and Building Maintenance
Cleaning, repair work, and territory maintenance may be available, but regional restrictions should still be checked.
4. Delivery and Courier Services
This is not suitable for everyone: in some regions there are bans or restrictions related to transportation work.
5. Agriculture
In certain regions, seasonal jobs are still available.
The main thing is to check three things before changing jobs:
- whether your patent allows you to work in that region;
- whether the profession matches the one specified in your patent;
- whether the employer officially signs a contract and submits a notification to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Quotas are not a complete ban on employment for migrants. However, they are a signal that in 2026 it is especially important to choose employers carefully and work officially.
