While driving home from work, a former citizen of Tajikistan, Bakhtier Isoilov, noticed a white spot on the road.
At first, he thought it was an animal, but as he got closer, he saw a child crawling along an icy highway in -5°C weather.
The man wrapped the baby in a blanket and called an ambulance. The situation became more complicated when a woman emerged from the forest, claiming to be the child's grandmother. The rescuer remained vigilant — he did not hand over the child and waited for the emergency services. It was later revealed that the woman had recently been discharged from a psychiatric clinic.
"Literally a few minutes later, trucks passed through that exact spot," says Bakhtier.
He himself has a 10-month-old son. It was his paternal instincts that guided his actions. When the girl's anxious mother offered him a reward, he replied, "Better spend it on your daughter's treatment."

At SalamPay, we understand that there has been a lot of negative talk in society lately about migrant workers. But among them are people who, through their actions, show the best qualities of their people. That's why we want to use our articles to tell stories about people who show kindness to others.
Bakhtier's example shows how an ordinary person can change the course of events by showing humanity and vigilance.
