Have you spent your vacation with your family in Uzbekistan and are now getting ready to return to work in Russia? Before your trip, it is important to check your documents and make sure there are no restrictions on your entry.
We have prepared a short checklist to help you remember the most important things.
1. Check Your Passport
Make sure your international passport is valid, not damaged, and that all the information in it is correct.
If you received a new passport during your vacation, keep in mind that the information in your previously issued Russian documents may need to be updated.
2. Check for Entry Restrictions
Before buying a ticket, make sure that you are not subject to an entry ban to Russia.
For example, restrictions may arise because of migration law violations during a previous stay in the country.
You should also check whether your information appears in the Registry of Controlled Persons (RKL).
Read the latest migration law updates on our Telegram channel or MAX.
3. Check Whether Your Work Patent Is Still Valid
If you worked in Russia under a work patent, make sure it is still valid.
Leaving Russia does not automatically cancel your patent. However, its validity depends on making the fixed advance tax payments on time.
If your patent has expired, it is best to find out before returning which documents you will need to obtain again.
4. Prepare Your Entry Documents
When entering Russia, a citizen of Uzbekistan must complete a migration card unless they are exempt from this requirement.
If you plan to work, indicate “work” as the purpose of your entry.
After arriving, you must also comply with migration registration requirements. The applicable deadlines and procedures depend on your region and migration status.
5. Buy Your Tickets in Advance
Before returning, compare departure dates, ticket prices, and baggage rules.
You can search for and buy airline tickets to Russia in the SalamPay app.
It is better to prepare for your trip in advance than to deal with document and ticket issues at the last minute.
